Tools Required
Installation of the Long-Range requires only basic tools to make the connections.
Essential
-
Wire Strippers
-
Small Flat Bladed Screwdriver for 4 Way pluggable terminal
Optional
-
M3 Allen Key (to attach the optional mounting bracket to the body of the LRv2)
Wiring
Connect the receivers to the controller to access the fixture.
The distance between the controller and the receiver can be up to 300 meters.
👆🏼 Our tip: use a twisted pair of cables to avoid noise. 👆🏼
Power requirements
Connect the controller to your Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector or PoE router to get the device running. Input voltage 36 to 57 V.
Standard PoE Ethernet 10/100 Mbps port, for both power and data. 802.3af compliant.
In order to operate the Long-Range controller it needs to be powered with a PoE switch or a PoE injector (if there is not a PoE switch available).
Communication with the receivers
Connect the receivers to the controller to access the fixture.
The distance between the controller and the receiver can be up to 300 meters of twisted pair wire 24AWG.
👆🏼 Our tip: use a shielded twisted pair of cables to avoid noise. 👆🏼
Each of the receivers needs to be wired to the beginning of the digital luminaires that they are controlling. The receiver needs to be connected to the first power supply that feeds the luminaire. Note that the receiver can be fed with 5 to 24V of Direct Current.
Additionally, please note that if more than one power supply is used, the groundings need to be united to allow the correct signal transmission between the Long-Range receiver and each of the luminaire segments.
The Status Indicator

Mounting Option
Rack mount
There are two different mounting kits:
- Single controller Rack Mount. To mount a single controller in a rack shelf. It brings 1 short ear and 1 long ear.
- Dual controller Rack Mount. To mount two controllers in a rack shelf. It brings 2 short ears and one union plate.
Rack mount: Screws
To fasten the Long-Range to its rack-mount ears, remove all screws except no. 5.
Use the loose screws to secure both rack mount ears to the Long-Range.
Single controller rack mount
To mount only one Long-Range in a rack, fasten one short ear and one long ear to each end of the controller. Holes in the extremes of the ears are standardized and ready for rack mounting.
Dual controller rack mount
After fastening the corresponding right and left rack mount ears to each Long-Range, remove screws 1 & 2 from both, and secure the union plate.
