Download the Protopixel Mapping Tool from the Downloads section in MyProtopixel.
A .zip file will be downloaded to the "Downloads" folder on your computer. Select the "Extract all items in this folder" option.
Inside the folder, you will find the executable "ProtoPixel-PixelMappingTool_24.7.1242_windows". Right-click on it and select the "Open" option.
The following window will open. Select the "More info" option, then click "Run anyway".
The "License Agreement" window will appear next. Click on "I Agree", "Anyone who uses this computer (all users)", and "Install".
Next, the installation process will begin.
Once it is finished, the following window will appear, and you should click on "Finish".
Finally, the application will proceed to open.
Requirements
On Windows 11 operating systems, it is necessary to install K-Lite Codec Pack Basic in order to open the Protopixel Mapping Tool. This link leads to the pack that we have verified works correctly.
Firewall Settings
To use the Protopixel Mapping Tool correctly, you’ll need to allow your computer's Firewall to access the following features. During the software installation, security windows will appear with the following messages:
"Windows Firewall blocked some features of Protopixel on all public and private networks."
"Windows Firewall blocked some features of Python on all public and private networks."
You’ll need to allow your computer access to them.
