Creating a Casambi Installation

To create a Casambi installation, you first need to add a Gate Casambi to the network. The Gate can be added even if it hasn’t been configured yet, you can configure it later. In the Casambi network, the Gate will appear as an "Ethernet Gateway".

1.- Download and Install the Casambi App

Download the Casambi app from the Play Store (Android) or the Apple Store (iOS).

The first time you install the Casambi app, you must allow Bluetooth access and accept the app’s Terms and Conditions. You may also choose to allow location and notifications. These permissions ensure the app can discover nearby devices and operate correctly.

Once the app opens, the home page will show three main elements: created networks, nearby devices, and a demo option. Tap "My Networks".

2.- Create or Select a Network

Once inside "My Networks", if you already have a network, select it. To create a new network, tap the three dots in the corner to open a menu of options, then select "Create a Network" and choose "Evolution".

⚠️ The DALI Gateway function works only with Casambi Evolution Firmware.

You will then be prompted to enter the following information:

• Name: Enter a name for your network.

• Sharing mode: Select "Open".

• Email: Add the email to link to the network.

• Administrator password: Set a password and choose the access level (User, Manager, or Administrator). For more public networks, select "User".

Once all fields are completed, tap "Done" to save the configuration and create the network.

3.- Add Devices to the Network

After the network is created, you will be redirected to the network’s main page, which will initially be empty. Tap "Show nearby devices".

The Nearby devices window will list all devices close to you. The list shows the type of device and whether it is already paired or unpaired. Select the device you want to add and tap "Add to <Your Network Name>".

Once added, the devices will show the network name they belong to. From the home screen, you can control individual devices, create spaces, or manage all devices at once.
