When a new Node software update comes out, you will be able to update your node by pressing on your Node’s control panel. This operation needs the Node to be connected to the internet.
To update the Node software manually, in case the above method fails or because there is no internet access, you can download the last version of the software accessing this link. Then, you'll need to save that file into a USB drive (it doesn't matter if you have other elements in it, it doesn't need to be empty), and connect that USB drive to the Node. The node will automatically update itself and reboot. After that, you can safely remove the USB Drive from the Node.
Requirements
As a rule of thumb, it is better to have the Node connected to the Internet. To achieve this, usually, you are required to:
- Connect the Node Ethernet port to a Router with DHCP enabled and access to the Internet.
- Configure the Node to use DHCP (either DHCP only or DHCP and static IP).
Note: Beware that attempting to install a new FW without internet access for versions prior to 23.3 will fail and leave the Node in an unstable state.
