Please, note that no rack-mounting accessories are included in the box, so if you need them, please purchase the required accessories. The purchase codes are:

• PPHW0004R06 - Gate SPI Wired Long-Range - Single Gate Rack Mount. To mount a single Gate in a rack shelf.
• PPHW0004R07 - Gate SPI Wired Long-Range - Dual Gate Rack Mount. To mount two Gates in a rack shelf.

Hardware Overview

The Gate SPI Wired Long-Range comes with three indicator LEDs, one reset button, and one test button

Data Outlets

The Gate has 8 independent outlets that send information through RS-485 protocol. To do so, each terminal contains A, B, and SCR pins and connectors. Its signal has to be wired individually (point to point) to one Gate SPI Wired Long-Range Receiver.

It is recommended to use 1 pair of shielded twisted pair wire of 24 AWG to communicate the Gate with the Receivers.

Power over Ethernet ( PoE )

The Gate SPI Wired Long-Range is powered through Standard PoE Ethernet 10/100 Mbps port. The Gate is 802.3af compliant, so it can work with any switch or PoE adapter that matches with the referred standard.

If more than one Gate is used, it is recommended that the link between the node and the switch that distributes the information to each Gate SPI Wired Long-Range has 100/1000 Mbps (Gigabit) connection speed.

USB Port

A USB Micro port for firmware updates is also available at the rear side of the Gate.
