Using a Dry Contact Push Button with the Gate SPI Wireless

The Gate SPI Wireless can be connected to an external push button designed to run on AC power, separate from the built-in button on the device. This push button provides basic control of the connected lighting system.

How it works

Action	Description	Notes
Short press (<2s)	Turns lights ON/OFF	Instant toggle
Long press (≥2s)	Dim brightness	- First press increases brightness - Next presses alternate (up/down) - Cycle resets if >30s pause
Long press after >30s pause	Brightness increases again	Always restarts upward dimming
Long press within 30s of previous dimming	Continues cycle	Example: if last action was dim up, next will dim down
