Gate Casambi Installation

The Gate Casambi acts as a bridge between the Casambi wireless mesh network and the Protopixel ecosystem, enabling seamless control from a central point.

Required Components

• Protopixel Brain or Brain Experience: works as the central controller of the installation
• Preconfigured Casambi wireless mesh network: all Casambi devices must be set up and functional before integration
• Gate Casambi: connects the Casambi network to the ProtoPixel system
• Switch PoE: provides power to the Gate Casambi

Once all components are in place, the installation process involves ensuring the Casambi network is ready, powering the Gate through the PoE switch, and then linking it with the Brain or Brain Experience for full integration.

A Gate Casambi allows you to add up to 12 devices, while the Gate Casambi XP supports up to 150 for larger installations.

The Status Indicator

The Gate Casambi has 4 RGB LED on the top of the product,  indicating the status of the device. For more details, please see the appendix: Gate Casambi LED Indicators.
