Before working with behaviours, it's important to understand that the way you manage them depends on the type of installation. If your installation is fully wireless and created using the ProtoPixel App, the creation, editing, and removal of behaviours must be done entirely within the app. If your installation includes a ProtoPixel Brain, behaviours for the Shelly Wireless Digital Input must be managed from the Project Tool.
To add a behaviour, the element must first be assigned to a Space. If it hasn’t been added yet, we recommend following the instructions for adding an element to a Space using the Project Tool or the ProtoPixel App.
Add a behaviour from the ProtoPixel App
Select the push button from the elements list and tap "Add Behaviour" in the options panel.
In the "Add behaviour" screen, enter a name for your behaviour, choose the event in the first card, and select the action you want to trigger in the second.
Once done, tap "Save Behaviour", the new behaviour will appear in the Behaviours section of the options panel.
Add a behaviour from the Project Tool
Start by selecting the push button, either from the elements list or directly from the floor plan (make sure it is already assigned to a Space). Click on "Add Behaviour" in the options panel to open the creation window.
Then choose the event in the first card and the action in the second. For button-type devices, you can select between "Pressed", "Long pressed" o "Released".
After saving the behaviour, it will appear in the Behaviours section of the options panel and will also be listed in the Push Button Properties panel.
To edit a behaviour, click on its card.
👆🏻 Note that only one action per event type is allowed per button. 👆🏻
