Why Spaces?
Spaces is a tool for controlling all kinds of lighting setups — from everyday environments like the office to unique experiences with powerful effects.
The following guide will show you how ProtoPixel Spaces is a useful tool for your daily operation of the lighting system. Spaces allow generating the user’s environment control. Use your favorite moods in each of the spaces or zones you have, and get them easily activated through the widgets, to prepare for everyday use.
Configure. Change. Control.
What do you need?
If you have a light installation ready and you want to operate it you will need the Space App downloaded on your device from the App Store or *Google Play.*
Accessing Spaces
Run the Spaces app, which will guide you through the features itself.
The integrator professional that has commissioned the ProtoPixel installation will have configured Spaces app according to the zones and moods previously defined as well as the scheduling of contents according to specific timings. Thanks to this, you will be able to control your luminaires by zones or spaces. You can activate a luminaire by using Spaces to access the space to which that Mood is associated to.
☝ It is important that you are connected either to the ProtoPixel Node’s WiFi hotspot (with name ppx-XXXX - password: password) or to the same network. |
If you have properly connected to the network, Spaces will detect the ProtoPixel Node (see the Discovery screen below).
Open the Spaces app and select the ProtoPixel Node of your installation. As soon as you have selected the Node, the app will present you the list of Spaces that the integrator professional has previously configured for you.
The Global space will allow you to control all luminaires available in your lighting installation at once. General actions turning them all ON or OFF, or setting a specific mood to all fixtures (XMas for instance) will be possible actions to be performed in the Global space.
In addition, you will find a number of spaces that will mark off a number of fixtures to which you can activate several moods. Once the space is selected you can choose which mood you want to apply to control your luminaires. Now you can navigate through all the different moods!
